BNY Mellon WM Adds Two To Boston Private Banking Team

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has added two banking veterans to its Boston operations as part of its national expansion strategy. Osman Babson and Bradley Mattox join as senior relationship managers and will report to Mary Gooding, managing director of the firm’s New England region. Both will be based in Boston, seen as one of the company’s key markets as well as the location of its headquarters. Babson was most recently with Citibank/Smith Barney, as commercial banking director for the high net worth and corporate clients division. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, he was with RBS Citizens Bank, where as a relationship manager he serviced a range of commercial loans, lines of credit and corporate banking relationships, and oversaw a $120 million loan portfolio. Mattox was also at both Citibank and RBS Citizens Bank, at the former as a vice president and relationship manager responsible for establishing the middle market banking team in Boston, with a focus on the lending, treasury management and foreign currency hedging services for clients with estimated annual revenues of up to $500 million; at the latter he was a commercial lender.
